When to Replace Old or Bubbling Tint

3 min read

Quality tint should look sharp for years. When it does not, the film is usually telling you it has reached the end of its life. Here are the signs to watch for.

The purple look

When tint turns purple, the dye in a cheaper film has broken down under the sun. It will not go back, and it only gets worse. A color stable carbon or ceramic film will not do this.

Bubbles and peeling

Small bubbles or pockets that do not clear up mean the adhesive is failing. Peeling or lifting edges let dirt and moisture under the film. Both are signs the tint needs to come off and be replaced.

Haze and poor visibility

If your tint looks cloudy or makes night driving harder, the film has degraded. Clear visibility matters for safety, so do not wait on this one.

A clean removal makes the difference

We safely remove old, purple, or bubbling film and clean the glass before we install fresh film, so your new tint goes on flawless. The replacement is premium film backed by a lifetime warranty, so you are not back here in a year. Ready for a refresh? Get a quote or explore our automotive tint.
